Kieran Tierney is arguably the best signing Arsenal have completed in a very long time. Yesterday he marked his second anniversary with the Gunners and fans streamed into his Twitter account to thank him for his massive contribution to the club. The 23-year-old has been phenomenal, to say the least, and Mikel Arteta is very lucky to have such a young energetic full-back on his team.
Towards the end of last season, fans were spreading rumors that Tierney was being groomed to be Arsenal’s future captain when Aubameyang leaves the club. Tierney was once a captain for Scottish giants Celtic and many believed that he would as well accept the responsibilities of becoming the captain of Arsenal in the future. However, after Xhaka extended his contract, the whole rumor died down.
According to Arsenal’s medical team report, all Arsenal players are fit for selection for Sunday’s match and that means Mikel Arteta will have more options to choose from in the highly-anticipated showdown. Arteta will be expected to come up with a wild Arsenal side as he seeks to lead Arsenal out of their hell hole and set the Gunners high in the EPL table.
If Arsenal win by two goals, then they will be on level points with Spurs in the table and three points closer to Premier League leaders. Tottenham on the other hand will be without key players such as Harry Winks and Matt Doherty but the rest of the squad will be available for selection for the match. Tottenham will seek to get back on winning ways after facing two 3-0 EPL losses in the last two game weeks.
Arsenal were drawn against Leeds United in the Carabao and earlier today, the date for the fixture was confirmed by the EFL to be 26th October. The game will be hosted at the Emirates and will start at 10:45 EAT. Luckily for Arsenal fans, the match will be streamed on major football channels like Sky Sports, unlike the last time when fans were left frustrated because the match wasn’t live-streamed anywhere.
