An EPL week 7 early Saturday kick off recorded a humiliating outcome to Giants Manchester United at their home ground as Everton forced a 1-1 draw despite regular dangerous attacks from United.
Antony Martial returned with success as he set his team ahead through an incredible finish after Bruno's amazing assist in the first half. However, Gray-Doucoure-Townsend quick counter attack combination created an equalizer in the second half. Let's take a look on what the Red Devil's were poor in to endure this poor result on home soil.
Team selection: Ole Gunnar brought in a totally different side from the expected. Martial's and Cavani's start was really surprising. Though Martial netted the only goal for Man United, the duo combination was less effective. Frequent crossed into the box found no one to make a finishing.
Poor substitution: Notably, the Red Devils coaching staff made changes at the wrong time. The starting lineup was totally intact but Ronaldo's and Sancho's introduction provided a dangerous attacking but a poor defensive side. Additionally, Fred's exit created some sort of free runs for Everton players at midfield. Conclusively, Man United substitutions were done at the wrong time.
Player Underperformance: Here my genuine opinion is on Greenwood and Luke Shaw. The two were totally dormant especially during the second half. Mason is an attacker but did not meet his chances creativity today. Shaw after too poor immediately after the first half, no crosses from we're seen at all.
Off-ball reactions: The Red Devil's were very good with the ball, made very perfect and accurate passes, but lacked energy to chase for the ball whenever the opponents processed. Doucoure's simple tactics that provided an assist for Townsend defines it all. Were it not for Everton's lack of confidence, them it would have been a different game.
