Ingwe Midfielder Joins A New Club in Sweden

AFC leopards midfielder Collins Schichenje has signed an agreement to join Swedish top-tier side AIK on a contract that extends to December 31, 2026.

The highly rated defensive midfielder joins his fellow countrymen and Harambee Stars teammates, Erick Marcelo Ouma and Henry Meja who play for the club.

Schichenje made a dramatic return to western side ingwe by penning down a short contract that was to expire in June 2022 after partying ways with the green commandos.

His deal with Leopards had a clause that allows him to terminate the contract before the expiry date, which means if ends up getting another opportunity he can leave the club.

Although he joined them as a midfielder, most of the time he played as center back after the club's defenders captain Robinson Kamura and Robert Ayala suffered injuries.

Collins made his debut for Harambee Stars in March 2021 when Kenya defeated South Sudan 1-0 at Nyayo national stadium.
