England managed to grab a huge win against Iran to kick start their world cup 2022 in style. In that match, Jude Bellingham opened the scoring in the 35th minute Bukayo Saka added the second one with three minutes left before half time.
Rahim Sterling added the third one in rge added minutes of the second half. In the second half, Saka was on the score sheet again as both Rashford and Grealish came off the bench to score.
Iran managed to score two goals but ended up losing against the three lions. The match ended 6-2 as England grabbed all the three points.
In that match, one of the player who impressed is Marcus Rashford who came off the bench and caused so much trouble to Iranian defenders. His speed made it hard for them to stop him. He ended up scoring a goal and created multiple chances. His top perfomance proved he might be of great importance to his country if Southgate will give him more playing time
This now means that Manchester United and England forward Marcus Rashford proved Southgate wrong for benching him after today's match.
