Man United had travelled to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea as they looked forward to bounce back to their winning ways after their last heavy defeat against Watford. In that match one of Chelsea players managed to silence Ronaldo by giving him tough time to score.
Chelsea on the other hand were looking forward to continue with their top performance this season after only losing once. They had also had a good record of conceding only three goals in their last 12 matches.
In that match, the Blues kicked off with a high pace as they attacked constantly in search of an early goal. Rudiger almost came close in the 31st minute before his shot was denied by the woodwork. The match was all square before half time with Chelsea being the better team.
In the second half, United came in with a new energy and pressed on and opened the scoring through Jadon Sancho in the 50th minute. Their lead didn't last for long as the Blues equalized ten minutes later from the penalty spot after Wan Bissaka fouled Thiago Silva.
In that match one of the Chelsea star who impressed is Thiago Silva. He managed kept their defence solid throughout the game where he stopped Cristiano Ronaldo from finding the back of the net. Ronaldo came in the second half and tried everything to bring his side back in front but Thiago Silva wouldn't give him a chance.
The Brazilian defender blocked all Ronaldo's shots and made sure he didn't give him a chance inside their box. He played a major role for his side to grab a point at home in their 1-1 draw.
This now means that Thiago Silva managed to silence Cristiano Ronaldo throughout the match by giving him no chance to find the back of their net.
