Kenya played their first leg match against Mali on Thursday night. The match was staged away in Morocco.Harambee Stars however suffered a heavy defeat after they were hammered 5:0.
Now posses the question, does Kenya still stand a chance in the group? This is the analysis.
Kenya is currently at number three after having lost one match and drawn two.Kenya still has to play the three remaining matches.Apart from that, they have to win all the three matches.
If Kenya wins, that leaves them with nine additional points. So technically they will be having eleven points.
If Uganda beat Mali in the return leg, lose to Kenya and also lose to Rwanda, they will finish the group with eight points.
If Mali lose against Kenya, Rwanda and Mali in the return fixtures then they will finish with seven points.
Therefore Kenya proceeding to the next round depends on all the teams, which is a tough task to achieve. But if they beat Mali in the return leg then there's hope. What do you think if this? Is it achievable? Do share your thoughts.
