Gyan calls for non revenge match against Uruguay as Ghana sets eyes on a strong lineup for world cup

Good evening and welcome to my daily sports updates.Tap on the follow link on the top right corner if you haven't done so to receive more news.Welcome

Ghanaian legend Asamoah Gyan has urged his national team players to approach the match against Uruguay as a normal match and avoid anything to do with revenge after what happened in South Africa 2010.Gyan missed a decisive penalty that could have made Ghana the only African team to reach the semi finals of the competition. Uruguay survived scare after Luiz Suarez secured a draw that forced an extra time only for Ghana to fail at the end.Gyan broke into tears at that time and it seems the forward has recovered. He could play some roles for the team since he has never announced his retirement.

The Ghana national team management has been looking to add some more players who are eligible to play for the Black Stars. Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah has been closely linked with a switch to the side from England among other players.Brighton and Hoves Albion left back Tariq Lamptey is another player linked with a switch to the west African side.If Ghana secures the services of such players, they will be a force to reckon in the Qatar world cup.

All eyes are on Ghanaian coach to name his squad ahead of the encounter. With Senegal coach Aliou Cisse already with his lineup, Ghana could delay abit as they look to assemble the strongest lineup.Ghana is known for adding players who are eligible to play for them, with the likes of Kevin Prince Boateng featuring for them ahead of Germany where he was born to Ghanaian parents. We wish them all the best ahead.
