Edouard Mendy was one of the Chelsea players who impressed against Liverpool on Saturday at Anfield making outstanding saves to help his team get a draw. The Senegalese stars came out on top again and he was the best player for Chelsea in the second half.
Liverpool is always a pressing team every time whether they are ahead if behind and they did the same against Thomas Tuchel yesterday but couldn't manage to get a win despite their talented and world-class forwards.
In the second half efforts from the likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Diogo Jota ended up to nothing as Edouard Mendy made unbelievable saves. Mendy made six saves against the Reds which was his most since he joined Chelsea in a single match.
He is also the player with the most saves in a single match this season proving how good he is for Chelsea and he is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League. Mendy has been a brilliant player under Tuchel and yesterday was not the first the 30-year-old star has been such astonishing for Chelsea.
He has been a saviour for the Blues in most major and important matches like the UEFA Champions League Final Against Manchester City where he kept a clean sheet and prevented all Manchester City players from getting a goal.
If Kepa Arrizabalaga played against Liverpool he could have conceded several goals in the match but Mendy was just world-class. The Senegalese star can win the golden glove this season if the Blues will have few assist this season as already they have kept two clean sheets.
