Man Utd: Lisandro’s Worrying Warning, Ten Hag’s Selfishness, and Fernandes’ Big Role

Manchester United’s Lisandro Martinez is looking forward to leaving his mark in the Carabao Cup final against Newcastle United. The Argentinian is hoping to add to his trophy cabinet another silverware after clinching the World Cup with Argentina in December. He recently claimed that he wants to kill in the cup final which in other words means that he will do everything to guarantee a win for United.

“I can’t wait for the finals. It is in games like this that I want to kill. The work that we have put so far in maintaining our form has been massive and I hope we get to express it in the pitch on Sunday. There is a lot at stake for us in that game,” revealed the Argentine.

Erik Ten Hag has reportedly told the club that he will not have an open-top bus celebration in the streets of Manchester Incase he clinches the trophy. He further added that he will only consider it Incase the club wins two trophies this season. Many have seen this as a selfish way of the manager trying to belittle a cup final fixture.

My opinion

Bruno Fernandes will by default be the Captain in the cup final since Harry Maguire will obviously be left on the bench. The captain has to ensure that all players are in check on the pitch. He must ensure that Lisandro Martinez does not actually “kill” someone on the pitch and get a red card. It would be a pity if Manchester United competed for the trophy with 10 men.

It is quite clear that Manchester United are going to give their all in the final against Newcastle United. The manager is looking forward to the highly anticipated showdown because if he manages to win, he will definitely have his job security under lock and key. If not, he will have left a good impression worth giving the board something to ponder about.
