Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn was recently named The Scottish International Player of The Year after he managed to beat Liverpool's Andy Robertson and Arsenal's Kieran Tierney through an online poll. McGinn was honored by the award and posted this on Twitter, "Proud to have been named @scottishfwa International Player of the Year. A big thanks to everyone that voted for me and I'll see you all in June." The 25 year old has indeed been a force to reckon with at midfield and many have agreed that he deserved the award and prestigious recognition.
To the Arsenal and Liverpool fans however, the award should have gone to Kieran Tierney and Andy Robertson respectively because according to them, these two have performed better this season than McGinn. According to me, I think Andy Robertson more than deserved the recognition because he has been key in Liverpool's impressive run in recent matches.
Arsenal have a huge advantage over Leeds United ahead of their EPL fixture after reports claiming a bad injury crisis at the club were surfaced through the media. Liam Cooper reportedly had a problem with his hamstring during his warm up against Manchester City, Stuart Dallas sustained a serious injury during the game and was stretched off. Junior Firpo additionally conceded his 10th booking and by default is suspended against the Gunners over the weekend.
Arsenal are currently focused on taking it a game at a time and Mikel Arteta has been very optimistic about Arsenal's chances of finishing in the top four. In a recent interview he had this to say, "The boys know the assignment and the amount of work they have to collectively do inorder to achieve our main objective. I believe that we will finish in the top four and maybe even better by finishing third."
Arsenal fans have now urged Mikel Arteta to give Eddie Nketiah a chance by proposing a new offer because he has proven to be an exceptional striker who only has a few imperfections to polish. They have even suggested that he may be the key to Arsenal's great success next season.
