La Liga: Four Crucial Matches That Will Shape The League's Winner, UCL Spots

Spanish top football competition, La Liga Santander is in the final weekend with 7 fixtures scheduled for Saturday.

One match was played on Friday where Cadiz were held to a 2-2 draw with Levante. Two more games will take place on Sunday.

As it stands, the league's supremacy battle is between current leaders Atletico Madrid and defending champions Real Madrid.

The sides are separated by 2 points. Atleti has managed to gather 83 while Los Blancos have 81 making the league hotly contested.

Diego Someone will face Valladolid on Saturday in what could be a must win away game to make the team's 11th La Liga trophy.

Los Blancos will be at home against Villarreal as Zinedine Zidane will be aiming to capture his third and 35th league trophy for the Spanish giants.

The other contest is between number 3 and 4. Barcelona is in the 3rd position with 76 points, 2 ahead of Sevilla who hosts Alaves tomorrow.

Barcelona will be away at relegated Eibar today in quest to avoid dropping down to number 4.

Top four teams qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season.

Real Sociedad and Real Betis have booked their places in the UEFA Europa League while this year's finalists Villarreal will begin from UEFA Conference League.
