Harambee Stars and Zesco United forward Jesse Were has departed from Zambian Super League side Zesco United as his contract is set to expire tomorrow, 31st December 2021.
Zesco United CEO Richard Kabwe Mulenga took to the club's facebook page to hail Jackson Were for his accomplishments and praised the Kenyan for his contribution towards the club's success in his five year stay at Ndola.

The former Mathare United and Tusker FC forward leaves Zesco United as a legend and he is indeed proud of his achievement having hit century goals last season. He has also scored two more in the first half of the current season.
Were has won four league titles, two Absa Cup championships and two Charity Shield honours with the nine time Zambian champions.
The 32 year old forward leaves Kenyan goalkeeper Ian Otieno at Zesco United.
Were has been linked with a return to his former FKFPL side Tusker FC and Zambian side Power Dynamos.
