The so called "project restart" proposal aims at the resumption of the top-flight football in UK June despite of the corona virus pandemic reclaiming over 280, 000 lives
The EPL matches have been suspended since March 13, but the government on Monday announced that the sport can start behind closed doors from June 1.
Rose is the latest Premier League footballer to speak out against the plans after Man City’s Sergio Aguero admitted that players were ‘scared’ to return, while West Ham’s Manuel Lanzini insisted it would be ‘crazy’ to play when there is no coronavirus vaccine. And indeed it was true!
The Tottenham defender, who is on loan at Newcastle, believes football should not return until the number of deaths start to ‘massively’ dropped. He really feels the time is not "fair" to resume back the Premier League.
“It’s a f***ing joke, I’m not even going to lie. The government is saying bring football back because it’s going to boost the nation’s morale, I don’t give a f*** about the nation’s morale" he insisted on Instagram.
It seems really embarrassing how the pandemic has shattered the world of Football and This is what perhaps triggers Dan Rose's emotions that humanity should take the first priority. It is more better to resume when everyone's healthy is assured.
