It is reported that Arsenal have turned down a third bid of about €12.5million from Roma for star player Granit Xhaka and are insisting that Roma pay close to €17 million for the star. Reports claim that Xhaka has agreed a 5 year deal with Roma but arsenal and Roma are at a stalemate since Roma are unwilling to increase their offer and on the other hand, arsenal don't want to reduce the price.
Gunner's fans hoped that the player would remain but it seems a deal is pretty close. Granit is on international duty and according to him, playing for his country is more important than Arsenal and any other transfer rumours.
Jose Mourinho wants Xhaka at Roma since he admires his leadership skills and commitments. With Xhaka having close to 2 years left in his contract, anything is possible. He can stay or leaves but his departure will sadden those who loved him wearing an Arsenal shirt.
