Liverpool continued with their good run this season after thrashing their fierce neighbors Manchester United 5-0 to go second in the Premier League only one point behind Chelsea.
Manchester United was awfully at Old Trafford and they could not manage to score a single goal against the visitors. They have brilliant forwards like Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani, Marcus Rashford, and Mason Greenwood but none of them manage to make the difference for the team at Old Trafford.
Liverpool managed to get the three points in a style with Nabby Keita, Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah being on the score sheet against the Red Devils. Ole Gunnar has been criticized this season and there are high chances he could be sacked before the end of the season.
Marcus Rashford and Cristiano Ronaldo started together but they didn't manage to bring them back onto the match or get a consolation goal. They were not seen into the match especially for Marcus Rashford who was brought off in the 62nd minute.
Portuguese captain and legend Cristiano Ronaldo has scored a goal in the 52nd minute but it was ruled out offside. Dutchman top defender Virgil van Dijk managed to stop Rashford and Ronaldo in the big north English derby which is considered one of the biggest matches in the league.
Rashford has a couple of chances in the first half but he couldn't convert them into goals. Van Dijk was string at the back and he stood strong against the two Manchester United forwards ensuring his team managed to get the three points.
