Chelsea has not yet reached an agreement with Ng'olo Kante as the two year deal and an option for one year offer was taken down by the French man. Kante insisted that he wants a three year deal as he wants to end his career at Chelsea. The French man has been an injury prone despite the fact that he is a very key player in Chelsea's squad.
Chelsea head coach, Graham Potter does not seem interested to offer Kante the three years deal he wants however. If the contract is not renewed, Kante will be a free agent next summer. However here are three perfect replacements for him if he leaves.
1) Ruben Neves
The Portugal international currently at Wolverhampton Abions is know for covering long distance on the field just like Kante. Chelsea should consider the twenty five year old international to replace Kante if he leaves. Neves has made 146 appearances for Wolves where he has scored sixteen goals and assisted eight others. He is also known for breaking opposition attacks and his excellent ball-winning abilities.
2) Moises Caicedo
Caicedo has made sixteen appearances for Brighton & Holve Abions since joining back in 2019. He has scored two and assisted two more for the Seagulls. He is fit to replace Kante if he leaves as he is very versatile and can operate in several positions in the midfield. He can best play as a box-to-box player and sometimes as a holding midfielder.
3) Edson Alvarez
Alvarez is another important player who make a perfect replacement for Ng'olo Kante. The Ajax midfielder was linked to a move to Chelsea during the transfer window but it failed at the end as Ajax turned down Chelsea offer of €50million. He can be a very good replacement for Kante and Chelsea should make an effort to get him during January Transfer Window.
