Harambee stars coach Engin Firat was given a two months contract that was set to expire after Rwanda match on Monday. The Turkish tactician will be in charge of the national team against Rwanda before he could be relieved off his duties. Firat has had a poor result since taking over from Jacob Ghost Mulee. He has so far failed to win any match yet with one draw against Uganda. Will he be able to beat Rwanda tomorrow?.
His performance against Mali worked against his curriculum vitae. The 5.0 overhaul did not go well with a number of Kenyans who complained about his appointment.Firat was adamant that he had no time with the team. However, his game against Uganda in Kampala had some flashes of hope before goalie Brian Bwire tarnishing his name by allowing a Ugandan striker to score the easiest goals of the world cup qualifiers matches.
Will the interim committee add Firat more time? Was his time in the country of any value to Kenyan football. Currently, his employers have been burred from office by the government through the ministry of sports. We wish the team all the best ahead of Rwanda encounter.
