English Premier League Match Week 2 Kings Of The Matches

The English Premier League 2021-2022 season entered the second week on Saturday 21st August and ended on Monday 23rd August with a total of 10 games played some of them producing stunning results.

The results were as follows:


Liverpool 2-0 Burnley

Manchester City 5-0 Norwich City

Leeds United 2-2 Everton

Crystal Palace 0-0 Brentford

Aston Villa 2-0 Newcastle United

Brighton 2-0 Watford City


Wolverhampton Wonderers 0-1 Totenham Hotspur

Southampton 1-1 Manchester United

Arsenal 0-2 Chelsea


West Ham United 4-1 Leicester City

During the games, some players produced a stunning and impressive performance and therefore, they were selected as Man Of The Match winners.

Below is a list of the winners from different matches:


Liverpool new signing Tsimikas was very impressive against Burnley at Anfield stadium, providing an assist for the first goal to Diogo Jota.


Guita came out as Man Of The Match in Crystal Palace vs Brentford after claiming great saves that denied Brentford strikers chances to find the back of the net.


The Brazilian star was the one behind Leeds United great comeback against Everton, scoring the second goal to equalise Damarai Gray's strike.


The midfield of Brighton and Hove Albion was so strong against Watford City, courtesy of Yves Bissouma who also provided an assist in the game.


Dany Ings proved his best after scoring in his second consecutive games for new club Aston Villa against Newcastle United.

He had a good coordination with Ollie Watkins at the attack.


£100m rated star Jack Grealish backed his first goal for the Citizens against Norwich City, emerging as Man Of The Match winner after a fine display at Etihad stadium.


The England international was voted for this award after performing to his best against Wolverhampton Wonderers, scoring the only goal from the penalty spot to grant Totenham Hotspur 3 points from the game.


Man United starlet Mason Greenwood continued with his threat pace at ST. Mary's stadium, equalising for the Red devil's in 55 minutes. He has proved to give Anthony Martial Marcus Rashford a stiff competition.


He was among new signings that debuted for their new clubs with a goal after netting in against Arsenal at Emirates Stadium to win Man Of The Match award.


West Ham United striker Michail Antonio together with Said Benrahma set an EPL record of being the first players to score and assist in the first two EPL matches consecutively.

Antonio scored two goals and assisted 1 to make sure him displace Bruno Fernandes as the top scorer so far.

The above players were impressive with their performance and they really deserved the Man Of The Match awards.
