Reds forward Sadio Mane is likely to miss Liverpool’s Premier League clash against West Ham United this Wednesday night.Liverpool travel to the Olympic Stadium looking to build on the 16-point lead they possess at the top of the Premier League table.
However, they might have to do it without Mane, who injured his hamstring during Liverpool’s 2-1 Premier League away victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers last week.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp was asked about Mane’s condition last Friday, and he appeared to be very uncertain of the severity of the injury.
Klopp said last Friday to the media regarding Mane’s fitness: “No. I think in this moment he is having a scan. He didn’t call me out of the scan.Klopp’s response does not give much away in terms of how long Mane will be out for, but there is certainly enough in the German’s comments to suggest that Mane will miss the game against the Hammers.
The fact the Senegal international required a scan suggests that there is a bit of damage to his hamstring.
