Harambee stars:Matasi on the verge of joining French league two side from Saint Georges

Kenyan football heading to another level as another player is linked to French league two side Dunkerque FC. 

Patrick Matasi is a Kenyan goalkeeper who plays his football in Ethiopia with Saint Georges. The shot stopper joined Ethiopian side after having an excellent performance with the national team Harambee Stars in the Africa cup of nations.

Matasi has been recovering from injuries sustained from a road accident during his holiday in the country. According to his contract, He will be a free agent by October this year. However, the goalkeeper is already having offers abroad. 

The most recent offer is from a French league two side Dunkerque FC. A club that has already been in contact with his agent as it inguires about his availability. According to his agent, the shot stopper will be looking at the best offers as he is also linked to a Scottish league two side Clyde FC.

Clyde FC have been following his progress especially after they failed to secure his signature after the Africa cup of nations. If Matasi moves to France, he will be the second Kenyan player to feature in a French league after Denis Oliech. He will also be the first Kenyan goalkeeper to feature in any French league side.
