World Marathon Champion Eliud Kipchoge Has Won Again

Kenya athletes in Japan being led by Eliud Kipchoge has emerged the winner after few years he has won in Tokyo marathon.

Focusing on his official Facebook page account Eliud Kipchoge said;

I am so proud to win in the streets of Tokyo, where the people have running in their heart and minds. After winning my second Olympic Gold medal in Japan last summer, I returned to Tokyo to run a strong race. And this is what I meant with a strong race, 2:02 victory and new course record. I'm proud to now have won 4 out of the 6 Abbott World Marathon Major races.

Finally, I want to say I want this world to unite. If there are differences I want us to meet and speak, not fight. My win today is to bring positivity in this world.

What an exemplary performance from our athletes at the Tokyo Marathon held this morning in the Japanese Capital.-

1-2 finish for Eliud Kipchoge and Amos Kipruto while Brigid Kosgei captured the women's title.

Kipchoge won the men's race in 2:02:40 smashing the previous course record of 2:03:58.

Kipruto also notched a new PB of 2:03:13

Kosgei clocked 2:16:02 to erase the previous course record of 2:17:45.
