Chelsea's Forgotten Man Who Could Give Thomas Tuchel A Big Win Against Real Madrid

Chelsea will pay a short visit to Spain in the search for their ticket to the Champions League final when they come to grips with Real Madrid. Scoring goals and winning the match is the chief factor.

Going into this appetizing affair, the Spanish giants are unbeaten in 17 matches in all competitions (W12,D5). Oppositely, Chelsea have lost once in their last 5 assignments (W3,D1,L1). Considering their head to head matches, the blues have won once against Real Madrid in their last 3 games (W1,L2).

The likes of Mason Mount and Christian Pulisic have been goalscorers to be reckoned with under Thomas Tuchel. However, the German manager seems to be forgetting the fruitful performance of Olivier Giroud. The Frenchman has been spending most of time on the bench with inadequate playtime. This is not a good gesture to Giroud who is Chelsea's Champions League top goalscorer with 6 goals in 7 matches.

In conclusion, Olivier Giroud has the potential to score goals especially against top competitive Spanish teams. He scored 4 goals against Sevilla in the group stage and a world class goal against Atletico Madrid in the round of 16. His skills could catalyse Chelsea's performance against Real Madrid as they aim for the Champions League final.
