AFC Leopards' Season's Aspirations are Unshaken Despite Poor Form, reveals Den Insider

After Isaac Kipyegon left AFC Leopards for Tusker, Marvin Nabwire took over as captain, with Peter Thiongo assigned to deputize him.

Speaking to Mozzart Sports, Peter Thiongo discussed AFC Leopards' struggles prior to the league break, where they had only one win, one draw, and four losses in six matches, and how they intend to change their fortunes. Thiongo stated,

"We were not doing well before the international break, but we had sufficient time to improve on where we came short. The players who arrived late have also adapted well, and within a short time, I believe we will be up there on the log. "

Additionally, Thiongo revealed his ambitions as the AFC Leopards' assistant captain:

"Our business at the den is to restore its past glory by winning titles. It is the dream of every captain or his assistant to lead his teammates in collecting the winner's medals and lifting the title at the end of the season, and that's exactly what we want to do this season,"

Even though Ingwe have had a disappointing start to the season,Thiongo's eagerness to lead Ingwe back to glory should give Ingwe fans something to look forward to when the league resumes.
