Over this week, a couple of midweek fixtures have been scheduled across different leagues of the world. On Monday evening, England based Kenyan forward Jonah Ayunga was in action as his club Morecambe settled for a 1-1 draw with Portsmouth in a English Ligue one match.Ayunga was introduced in the 60th minute as a substitute for Aaron Wilding.Sean Raggett opened the scoring in the match with a goal in the 41st minute which gave Portsmouth the lead.Ayunga proofed to be a super substitute when he netted the equalizer in the 90+3 minutes to ensure that Morecambe got that one important point.
The draw left Morecambe off the relegation zone at position 19 on the league table with 42 points from 44 matches. This is a big achievement for Ayunga and Morecambe as they have been struggling at the relegation zone since start of the season.
