Aaron Ramsdale’s debut season could only get better after rumors making rounds on the internet have suggested that Mikel Arteta is likely to start him ahead of Bernd Leno in the highly anticipated North London Derby. As of now, it is believed that Mikel Arteta does not consider either of the goalkeepers as the number one option because the League just started a few weeks ago.
Ramsdale’s long arms and his good commanding in the air have proven to be his great strengths, unlike Bernd Leno who is more into making saves and anticipating for opponents to shoot. Pundits and football analysts have reckoned that if Ramsdale continues with his impressive performance at Arsenal, he is likely to topple Bern Leno from the number one spot at Arsenal.
Arsenal are still in search of a new number nine striker after it was confirmed that Alexander Lacazette will not be extending his contract with the Gunners after this season. One player who has caught the eye of Arsenal fans is Athletic Bilbao striker Inaki Williams who recently made his 200th consecutive appearance for the Spanish club.
He has played all Athletic Bilbao’s games since 2016, scoring 107 goals during the 200 game streak. Williams who is 26 years old, has a €40 Million release clause in his contract with the Spanish club, but Arsenal have the financial might to trigger the clause and sign the player. Fans have accordingly urged Mikel Arteta to launch plans of signing the striker because his fitness levels and prolificacy are what Arsenal needs at the moment.
Craig Pawson has been appointed as the referee to officiate the game between Arsenal and Tottenham over the weekend and this has really disappointed a lot of Arsenal fans. In the last Arsenal game he officiated, Pawson unfairly gave David Luiz a red card in the match against Wolves where Arsenal lost 2-1. However, Arsenal are still being considered favorites in the highly anticipated match that will be played at the Emirates.
