Brighton brought on Undav, Veltaman and Lamptey as substitutes for Welbeck, Enciso and Estupian but could not equalise. Aston Villa brought on Young, Bailey and Dendocker as substitutes for Ramsey, Buendia and Douglas Luiz and held on to seal a 2-1 win. After the 2-1 victory; Aston Villa climbed up to position 12 in the Premier League table with 18 points while Brighton dropped to position 7 on level 21 points with 8th placed Chelsea who lost to Newcastle United yesterday.
