
Brighton opened the scores in the 1st minute through Mac Allister before Danny Inhs equalised for Aston Villa through a penalty in the 20th minute. Brighton brought on Enciso in the 5th minute as substitute for injured Lallana while Tyrone Mings was given a yellow card in the 26th minute to force a 1-1 draw at halftime for Brighton at Amex Stadium.



Aston Villa scored their 2nd goal in the 54th minute through Danny Ings who was assisted by Douglas Luiz to gift ths visitors a 2-1 lead. Brighton brought on Undav, Veltaman and Lamptey as substitutes for Welbeck, Enciso and Estupian but could not equalise. Aston Villa brought on Young, Bailey and Dendocker as substitutes for Ramsey, Buendia and Douglas Luiz and held on to seal a 2-1 win. After the 2-1 victory; Aston Villa climbed up to position 12 in the Premier League table with 18 points while Brighton dropped to position 7 on level 21 points with 8th placed Chelsea who lost to Newcastle United yesterday.
