Barcelona star midfielder Frenkie De Jong has hit the headlines this summer transfer window. Manchester United have for a while now been on the negotiation table with Barcelona and the player's agents to have him officially signed. New Man United manager Erik Ten Hag has him as his number one priority player to embrace his style of play at Old Trafford.
The situation is not as expected with the clubs having agreed €65m fixed fee but still discussing on €20m add on structure. Personal terms have not yet been discussed. The Dutch international player priority is to stay at Barcelona. Salary reduction is an unlikely option on Frenkie's side.
Barcelona's president Laporta dismissed the reports that Frenkie is on the verge to leave the Spanish club. He confirmed that the player has a valid contract and they are happy to have him in Camp Nou. What is your thought on Frenkie's situation? Like, share and comment.
