Manchester United legend and Ex-Reading boss, Jaap Stam have been dismissed by Major League Soccer side, FC Cincinnati following a poor spell at the TQL Stadium, which saw the club manage only one win in the last sixteen games.
In an official statement released by the American outfit, the former Red Devils' star defender has been relieved of his duties with immediate effect, with the club's under 19 coach, Tyrone Marshall taking charge of the club on interim basis as the club continue to search for a permanent replacement.
"FC Cincinnati have relieved head coach Jaap Stam of his duties, effective immediately, the club announced today. Tyrone Marshall, currently the head coach of FC Cincinnati’s U-19 squad and future U-23 team, will assume the duties of head coach on an interim basis, and the search for a new head coach is already underway," reads part of the official statement.
As well as Stam, the Orange and Blue have also decided to part ways with assistant coaches Said Bakbati and Toann Darrot as they bid to make the club one of the most successful in the American Championship.
