The six junior officers are facing murder charges after investigations by Independent Policing and Oversight Authority showed that the officers were culpable in the deaths of the two young brothers.

Their seniors thought that they had escaped justice as they had been transferred from the station by the Inspector General. The two officers, Manyatta OCS identified as Abdullahi Yaya and the Embu North OCPD Emily Ngaruya will also be held liable.

The Director of Public Prosecutions, Noordin Haji has directed the Inspector General to have the two senior officers brought in as well. This is because the two brothers died under the watch of their officers.
