The Kenya meteorological department has always been at per to ensure citizens get weather forecast update on time, they alert or rather warn it's citizens on daily, weekly or even monthly basis. The department has continued to ensure timely weather forecast so as to caution on floods or drought in different counties.
According to the weather forecast that is released today for the next seven days that is from 17th to 23rd of May, citizens have been asked to prepare for heavy rainfall and weather changes in this counties. In addition to that most parts of the country are likely to be generally dry as depicted as light rains is expected over some parts of the highland of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria basin, the central and the south rift valley.
At the same time Cold and cloudy conditions are yet to be experienced in the Mount Kenya region including Nairobi county. Cloudy conditions breaking into sunny intervals with a chance of morning rains accompanied with afternoon showers are likely to be experienced over these areas; Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Muranga, Tharaka Nithi and Nairobi counties.
