More Bad News To The 9 KPLC Officers After Today's Landmark Court Ruling

After one week of complete blackout across the country, the Directorate of the Criminal Investigating Officers launched an arrest to the 9 KPLC Officers for allegedly interfering with the supply of the electrity. This comes after several Electricity pylons were seriously vandalized.

Ten senior managers at Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) were on Tuesday, January 18 arrested as investigations into the recent three-day nationwide power outage continue.

Media reports indicated that the managers who were apprehended had been summoned to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters on Kiambu Road to record statements. They were later taken to Muthaiga Police Station where they spent the night.

After these officers were arrested and spent a night behind the locks, they have been hit by a huge blow after the court made a landmark ruling on them.

The one KPLC Officers have been detained for another 8 days to allow police conclude probe into their alleged role in Nationwide power outage on Jan 11.
