Miner's body retrieved 7 months after mining site tragedy

The body of a gold miner Tom Okwach who was burred due to collapse of Abimbo mine site seven months ago has been retrieved from the site.

Sources who were led by the deceased brother Steve Aliwa revealed on a phone call that some of the gadgets he was using were recovered from his trouser pockets at Bondo Mortuary.

This retrieved body makes the fatalities of the mine site collapse to two.

The Okwach's family had been in darkness crying that the government had neglected them, a situation that they claimed made them sell everything they possessed buying fuel and excavators to retrieve his body which didn't bare any fruit.

This mine at Bondo collapsed on 2nd December 2021 were one person was killed while other 7 people were rescued days later safely and Okwach was left due to fact that he couldn't be reached easily.

The gold mine site closed its operations immediately after the incident and it's not operating any more.
