Uganda is now on another level in East and Central Africa after introducing a traffic law which is said to have started working already on their road inspections.
According to a message from a renown Facebook group Ma3Route, it is now a crime for Ugandan women to sit in the front passenger seats in any vehicle as they are said to be distracting drivers physically, mentally and emotionally.

The law was intensified after an accident that was caused by distraction from a female passenger in Lira on 11 January 2022 that claimed the lives of nine people.
It has been said that if a woman is found in the front passenger seat with the driver being a man, she will be charged for breaking a law. The driver will be also charged for allowing breaking of the law. Personally this is a very good move since driver distraction is also a cause of accidents in our country. What is your opinion?
