Panic as thugs attack bodaboda operator and stabbing pillion passenger to death in Bondo town, Siaya County.

Police in Bondo are now tracing for thugs that attacked a bodaboda operator and murdered his pillion passenger he was carrying.

According to a police statement, the bodaboda man identified as Michael Okoth Owinji, together with his passenger Christine Akoth were blocked on the road next to Barmofu Primary School in Bondo, Siaya County by unknown armed men who were carrying crude weapons.

The thugs stole his motorbike and inflicted grievous bodily harm on him.

The deceased Christine, 45, was stabbed to death and her body thrown in the bush.

"Michael Owinji was blocked by thugs on 4/7/2022 with his passenger Carrying Christine Akoth on his motorbike by unknown assailants carrying crude weapons who stole his motorbike registration number KMEG 184Q.

"They stabbed the lady to death and threw her body in a thicket," the police report read in part.

Owinji was rushed to Bondo Sub-County Hospital for emergency treatment.

The deceased body was transferred to Bondo Sub-County hospital morgue pending autopsy.
