Police in Transzoia are investigating the murder of a 51 year old laboratory technician identified as Judith Nafula whose body was found dumped in Kiminini river on Saturday evening after she went missing on Tuesday 18th October.
The sad news were confirmed by Kiminini Sub County Police Commander John Onditi said Konya who revealed that the body had bruises but it will undergo a postmoterm examination to ascertain the cause of death. It is unclear whether she was dumped while alive or whether she was murdered first.
It is suspected that Nafula could have been murdered by her son who had threatened her after she scolded him for selling farm produce.
The 21 year old has been missing since Tuesday but police are hunting for him.
Earlier in the week, Nafula's photos went viral on social media, with her family urging anyone with information on her whereabouts to contact them.
Our sincere condolences to the family of Nafula.
