Bungoma Man Beaten To Near Death By Local For Parading Naked Women In Search Of Stolen Gemstone

Dramatic scenes was witnessed from a little known Mavohko village, Kakamega county in the former western province after a man,25, identified as Hussain Khalifa was beaten to near death by residents for allegedly parading naked women in search of a stolen gemstone.

According to Franklin Mutembei, a local or rather neighbour, the accused, a proprietor of Dhahabu mining company is an irresponsible drunkard and spend most of the time moving from one alcohol bar to another taking illegal brew, have been implicated in similar cases before. In addition, he threatens people with his fire arms.

Conferming the incident, the area subchief disclosed the suspect was rescued by police officer who were in patrol and rushed him to Kakamega level five hospital where he was hospitalized, "He sustained serious injuries on the head and body but is responding well to treatment." He said.
