Though rare but Kenya has started recording increasing numbers of Ambulance accidents in the Kenyan roads.
However, the most disturbing part of the Kabarnet accident is that the driver was apparently drunk while ferrying a patient according to dispatch from an online road safety campaigner who divulged the episode on his official Facebook page (Sikika Road Safety).
The mishap ganered alot of reactions from Kenyans many condemning the driver for drinking and driving. Below are few comments on the matter;
What is your opinion over this matter as far as patients safely and life is concerned? Do you think the Kenya Red Cross should be blamed for the accident of its the driver? This calls apon the Government to intervene and ensure Ambulance drivers are well fit for their essential services.
