Christmas festivities have been at the climax today 25/12/2022. As it is the world tradition among christians to celebrate this great day. The season and the christmas day has also seen a huge number of Kenyans moving upcountry to join their families in celebrations.
The situation has created a booming opportunity in the transport sector where transport fee/ fare has almost tripled especially while moving from major cities to rural areas.
The 2022 christmas celebration came after the long period of unprecedented economic strife which have been since March 2020 following the Corona Virus outbreak.
The result is many families being unable to afford the luxuries that accompany the christmas celebrations. This has nevertheless been the case today in Gilgil as the area Member of county assembly decided to conduct a door to door service to deliver food and other supplies to the needy members in the ward.
Madam Rose, MCA Gilgil ward delivered the supplies yesterday on 24/12/2022 to several homesteads which were identified to be poverty stricken and put a smile on their faces.
May the almighty God bless the good work Madam Rose.
