What IG Japhet Koome Has Said After a Drunk Police Officer Was Seen on Camera Threatening a Kenyan

The National Police Service is one of the most respected services in the continent having been a benchmark for delivery of security operations across the country.

The police officers from the NPS are always advised to be extra cautious of how they conduct themselves infront of Kenyans as they are the glue that holds the society together.

However, in the last few months, some officers have been caught in compromising situations prompting the authorities to take disciplinary action against the said police officers.

A few days ago, a police officer was seen on camera threatening a Kenyan while appearing intoxicated in what has already gone viral on the internet.

The police officer who appeared intoxicated as well as armed in the video, shocked many Kenyans as per the reports that we have with us from the National Police Service.

The Inspector General of Police, Japhet Koome, has this morning released a statement condemning the incident that took place with the said police officer.

The Inspector General of Police has said that the police officer has since been identified and action will be taken against him over the incident that happened days ago.

The process of disciplining the officer is already in motion as per the reports that we have with us from the Inspector General of Police, Japhet Koome.

He has also asked other uniformed men and women to shun from such incidents as they are who Kenyans rely on for protection and other important things.
