Residents of mombasa were shocked after a police officer was arrested in uniform by fellow officers for attempting to rob a pregnant woman.
The incident occurred along the Mama Ngina drive, a place where no criminal cases have ever been reported in the recent past.

Sources indicate that the officer is attached to Embakasi police station in Nairobi county.
Hellen Wanjiku Waweru, a police Constable was among the three arrested criminals who have been stealing from pedestrians in Mombasa.
The other two suspects according to police report are Harrison Biko Marube and Gateri Frederick.

Concerning the incident, OCPD Mama Ngina police station said that the suspects are being held in police custody and they will be arraigned in court on Monday.
He further urged resident to be vigilant and report any suspicious person whom they think is a criminal to the police.
He assured Mombasa residents that justice will be done and the law will be followed even if the person arrested is a police officer.
