There has been a significant increase in the number of reported road accidents in the last few months. Several people have lost their lives through accidents since the turn of the year. According to data released by the Ministry Of Transport, over 400 people have already lost their lives through accidents since January.
The COVID-19 curfew has forced most drivers to operate during the day thus leading to big congestion resulting in accidents. The curfew has also forced motorists to drive at dangerous speed to avoid altercations with the men in blue.
A similar incident was reported yesterday along Limuru highway after a nasty accident involving a Probox and a Matatu that was trying to beat the curfew. The two were involved in a horrible head-on collision accident killing the driver of the Probox on the spot.
Several other passengers were Critically Injured and were rushed to the hospital. The Probox had been Ferrying Avocado.
