A family at Giathugu village in Nyeri county missed death by whisker after a car lost control & veered into their homestead damaging their houses.
Further, from the reports, it reveals that from the incident, a Man, wife and their two children injured after a car they were traveling in was involved in a road accident along Gakonya - Mukurwe-ini road in Nyeri county.
Last year, in the same period, accident-related deaths were 3,286, which was 255 fewer deaths compared to 2022.
Police attribute the high number of road accidents to speeding, poorly maintained vehicles, human error, shunning seatbelts and overloading.
Our roads can be unforgiving, and we have the responsibility to use them safely.
