Masten Wanjala’s father speaks out asks Government for son's body
Masten lost his life one month ago after he was stoned to death by irate mob in Bungoma.
The self confessed child killer before his death fled while under lawful custody in Jogoo Road Police Station.
His dad, Robert Wanjala Watila, said, "authorities kept silent on his son’s body whereabouts."
"Days after he was killed, police toured my compound with papers telling me to sign them. The papers contained reports of Masten's murder, and that I, his father, was present during his autopsy,” said Robert.
"I dismissed the allegations and i never signed any papers. How can I sign papers am not well conversant with? and I never took part in the postmortem."he said.
During this time, Masten’s body was moved to Bungoma County Referral Hospital mortuary.
Robert, 55, confirmed he will go for his son’s death certificate as police still take his murder as an active investigation.
