The accident which took away the lives of two riders happened at about 7pm few kilometers towards Kijabe.
According to the area traffic police commander Beatrice Kiraguri, the Nissan matatu and the motorbike was travelling towards Naivasha town from Kijabe and the Nissan was ferrying passengers to Nairobi town from Nakuru town when the accident happened.
Ms Beatrice said the riders were moving at high speed when they lost control of the motorbike and collided head-on with the oncoming Nissan matatu.
The Nissan which was also speeding is said to have lost control and veered off the road before hitting the rider and his passenger.
The traffic police officer said that the two riders lost their lives on the spot.
The bodies were moved to Naivasha District hospital mortuary and the vehicle was towed to Naivasha Police Station for inspection.
Police investigations are currently underway.
