Transport activities have been put to a standstill mood in the Nairobi-Mombasa highway after a tree fall and block the road in Kibiko area. However, the casualties have not yet been reported but as of now, police officers have visited the scene to help the road uses to remove the tree so that all the traffic activities resume. An eyewitness claimed that only a few vehicles were spotted on that road before the tree started falling and they informed the traffic police officers about the issue and managed to arrive on time.
Furthermore, the drivers revealed that it is not the first time for such an incident to happen in that place and they are calling upon the county government to trim trees near the road to avoid such cases that might risk the lives of innocent passengers on the road. They revealed that they have been forced to alternative roads simply because they are getting late for their jobs.
