Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko recently expressed his disatisfaction in the way in which his attempts to help Baby-Sagini have not yet bored any fruits. Mike Sonko had promised to facilitate Baby Sagini to get an advanced medical treatment in Shezen China for eye implant.
While expressing his frustrations, Sonko said that politicians in the region had blocked his attempts to fly baby Sagini to China for specialized treatment.
Baby Sagini's lawyer has broken his silence over Mike Sonko's remarks. According to lawyer George Morara, since Baby Sagini's eyes were godged out in Kisii, the three year old baby has since been placed under state protection.
Lawyer Morara insists that Mike Sonko was not prevented from helping baby Sagini but anyone wishing to help baby Sagini must follow the legal procedures protecting state witnesses.
During an exclusive interview with Nation, Lawyer Morara says that due processes must be followed by anyone wishing to access baby Sagini as the minor's safety comes first.
"At the moment, the government is the custodian of the baby because of the serious security breach he has suffered....Sonko needs to understand that there are laws and procedures to be followed before baby Sagini is handed over to anyone wishing to help him," Morara ascertained.
