A man in Machakos county found himself in the wrong arm of the law after he secretly forced his niece into a room and slept with her without using any kind of protection. The man who hails from Mathingau village in Yatta Sub-county Machakos county is expected to face the remaining part of his life behind bars for committing such a heinous act.
On Wednesday, Eva Wambugu, the senior resident magistrate at Kithima law courts ruled out that one Joel Nzomo Kyule knowingly slept with his sister's daughter who was 15 years old by then. The incident took place in June 2019 when Joel was home alone with the minor, the minor's mother had left the house to run her daily hustling errands when the incident took place.
Despite knowing that he was infected with the deadly HIV, the man opted to engage in the act without protection infecting her with HIV. Before his sentence, the man had been given 2 weeks to appeal the ruling given against him.
