Musyoka, an 80 year old man who disappeared from home 55 years ago returned back at his home in Kathiani, Machakos county.
His return elicited mixed reactions, with many wondering why he did not communicate with his family about his whereabouts for all those years.
He explained that he disappeared after separating from his wife due to marital conflicts. He claimed that the wife wanted to kill him and burnt their house when he was inside.
His return back home was facilitated by Musyi FM, a Royal media services company owned radio station. The station posted his photo on social media and his family recognized him. At the time, he was facing economic challenges and was living in the streets of Nairobi.
His family is grateful to Musyi FM for reuniting them with their patriarch.
