Nyeri residents and business community members are leaving in fear and shock after the forced disappearance of one of their own. The incident which happened late in the day is said to have happened after the tycoon, Gerald Guandura had finished picking the days collection from his various businesses.
According to The Standard digital news platform, drama ensued at around 5pm in the evening when a vehicle carrying gunmen ambushed the Gerald as he was coming out of one of the several barber shop's he owns. The unknown gunmen forced him at gun point to a Subaru car that is believed to have been tracking his movements the entire day.
Eye witnesses who were at the scene say that Gerald tried to scream for help from passersby but the sight of the guns made them fear for their lives. He was forcibly sandwiched between the occupants of the vehicle which immediately sped off. The police authorities have not given a comprehensive statement on the matter as Investigations have resumed.
