The number of accidents especially in the central region have been on the increase. The accidents which oftenly increase during the peak season may increase at this a time when students are travelling back home for Easter holidays. Schools have closed and almost all towns are full with students as vehicles get scarce, the fare prices have hiked and the rush is high.
The residents of Gitumbi region, in Kirinyaga county are still mourning the death of three individuals. The two who died on the spot are said to have been students who opted to use the private means as public means were not there. They boarded the car at Sagana only to meet their death a few kilometers towards their destination meant to be Kiangwaci, on the busy Nairobi Nanyuki highway.
The number of accidents in the area have been on the increase, and drivers have been urged to be extra cautionary while using the busy road. May the departed souls belonging to the two students and the car driver rest in peace.
